Now here's a classic vintage t-shirt if there ever was one! So, what's it about?
In the late 1920s Americans caught wind of a growing nudist movement in Europe, and it wasn't long before a number of clothesophobic Yanks were hankering to shuck their duds as well. In advertising their "meet ups" they were reluctant to say "Nudist Meeting Tuesday Night", so they replaced "nudism" with "gymnosophy" or gymnosophie as they say in France.
Well, it all worked out pretty well, and by 2006 more than 100,000 Americans were card carrying nudists, and millions more furtively flocked to nudist parks, resorts and clothing optional beaches around the country.
This great looking t-shirt harkens back to the early days of gymnosophie in America.
Rich chocolate brown, available in unisex sizes Medium through 3X. Made in the U.S.A.
