Many years back New York's Finest (we're talking about the police, of course) prowled around the neighborhoods in rolling black and whites. Today, these classic t-shirts are the perfect black and whites for loafing around NYC or anywhere else that stylish shirts are appreciated.
What's more, these shirts are very democratic. They're worn by a lot of policemen and non-policemen alike. In this way distinctions of class and position are eliminated. The problem is that when everybody is wearing them you can't tell the good guys from the other good guys.
