For quite a long time we've wanted to print a shirt featuring the Virgin of Guadalupe, but we wanted it to be special. Finally, it's ready. This beautiful and rustic rendering of Juan Diego and Our Lady is taken from a 19th Century woodcut that we've painstakingly watercolored and printed with soft waterbased inks.
Millions look to the Virgin of Guadalupe as the Empress of the Americas, and millions more respect the image as a major cultural icon. We think this shirt presents the story of her four appearances ro the humble Juan Diego on the Hill of Tepeyac in 1531 in all appropriate simplicity.
